On behalf of the Arsenic Water
Technology Partnership AwwaRF has released 5 new Request for
Proposals (RFPs) that provide $1.65M to fund 12 new projects.
The Technical Review Committee which
is made up of industry experts in arsenic developed the RFPs based
on priority needs and the goals of the Partnership. The goal of this
program is to enable water utilities, particularly those serving
small rural communities and Indian tribes, to implement the most
cost effective solutions for arsenic removal. This will be
accomplished by bringing new and innovative technologies from the
laboratory into full-scale use. Laboratory and bench–scale studies
will be followed by demonstration-scale studies to provide
performance and economic information under actual operating
conditions. This data will provide stakeholders with the information
necessary to make sound decisions on arsenic treatment
More detailed information about the
projects can be found on AwwaRF’s web page (www.awwarf.org)
